Hope they don't take down my redwood tree.

I hear loud noises outside. Tree branches falling. A wood chipper. Some of the falling branches are from "my" redwood tree. We are too far inland for redwood trees. They take in some of their water from misty ocean air. And their shallow roots systems are helped by the fact that the roots find each other underground. They basically "hold each others' hands" to provide mutual support in a redwood forest. The redwood trees at this complex are 30 yards apart from each other. Probably too far for mutual support.
Things have quieted down now. My redwood tree is still standing. We'll see what happens.

If it's strong it should stay.

I agree with you
I'm not a happy man when I see trees getting murdered either

I hope they are respectful in their trimming and only do what is necessary.

How interesting they have bee sawing and banging across the street all day but I cannot see what they are doing, Some palms must be going to die to make room for something,

@TheHorse it might be because across the street is prime real estate right by the Halifax River

We loved seeing the trees out west. So huge. The pine cones were massive.

I love the Redwoods. I wish I could get back to see them again, and show my kids what I have been talking about for years.
I hope they are just pruning your tree.

Hopefully they spare the healthy trees. It is sad to me when a tree has to be cut down.
