Do You Know Your Limit?

I hit a brick wall a little while ago this evening. No, not literally, but I feel like I have. We had some storms come through, with high winds, driving rains, thunder and lightening. And I think that is what did me in. I have had a pounding headache since that began. My husband has one also. Most likely it is from the pressure change change. He gave in a took something for his headache and headed off to bed. I am likely going to do the same in a little while. Do you have a 'set' time to turn in for the day, or do you know your limit and give in as your body sees fit? Good night all, sweet dreams. ~Photo is mine

Good night. I have a typical bedtime..unless I am out somewhere or something If I don't feel well, which doesn't happen often, I will go to bed early

@Juliaacv Yes, the night was fine. Thanks for asking I thought you were in the House the whole time? You should come down here if you want to feel heat.

@snowy22315 I stay inside but will stand in the open doorway for a few seconds just to feel the air each day. It was in the mid 40's here with the humidity factored in, I didn't like that and wouldn't like hotter air, especially if it is muggy too. They are calling for the humidity to return strong on the weekend and into Canada Day next week. I wish that it was just dry, I might be more inclined to go outside if it weren't for the humidity, but I find I get so weak in that air.

I slept the entire night long, the heat has tired me terribly, and it is hot again this morning. I opened a text this morning from our son, they were without power last night for a number of hours, his text said another 3 or 4 hours, but I do not know how long it was out at that time. I hope that you had a good night.

I have a general time I head off to bed. I will need to be stricter about it when I go back to work. With it being summer break on occasion I give in and sleep. Yes, the rolling thunder storms and changing pressures are really taking a toll on me.

You have enough time off from work to get into a nice little relaxing schedule of going to bed and sleeping a bit later. I only get a week here and there off, not enough to alter my sleep times.

I am a night person and often find myself getting involved in some research and the hours seem to fly. I get those pressure headaches too in the extreme heat. I use a rose quartz and it is remarkable how it does the trick. In 74 years I have had to turn to spirituality for healing and relief. I hope you were able to get some relief and good sleep. Take care.

You are a night owl and I am a morning hawk. I am better in the mornings. I was able to settle down last evening and get a good night's sleep.

The storms with the pressure change often also cause a headache to my husband and I. I hope I know my limit. I hope you had a good rest.

We both slept quite deeply and are both headache free this morning. But the heat has not moved on, which I had hoped it would. Jonathon was without power for at least 4 hours, probably more, from a text that I received while I was sleeping. I did not see it until this morning.

@Juliaacv - I woke up because I heard the smartphone switching to another operator. Not very noisy but enough to wake me up. It was 2 in the morning, I got up and opened the window and the air was so nice and fresh that I arrived to get back my sleep easily.

@LadyDuck Oh that sounds wonderful. We used to sleep with the bedroom window open in late August when we lived in the country. Our pond was on the side of the backyard where our bedroom window was and we would hear the bullfrogs at night, I loved that sound.

Once upon a time, I had a set time for bed...but I haven't in years. Now it's really iffy, depending on how the son is. Last week when we had that whopper storm, I was so sick with a migraine before and during it. Lots of times that seems to happen, storms make them more frequent and more intense. Just rest, Julia, and hopefully tomorrow will be better for you.

I am so sorry that you had an awful migraine last week. Mine wasn't that severe, just a headache. As I still work, so I still have a bedtime. I was early for it last night, but I slept well. I believe that with the passing storms and the intense heat and humidity took its toll on me. Today the heat is still lingering. But just a few more days of work, and next week there is a holiday on Tuesday, and after next week I will enjoy a week's vacation.

@MarieCoyle I love autumn too, that transitional season seems to last a bit longer then the season of spring does. I have to say that I do not mind the winter temperatures around 0, that is freezing for us, it is when it dips alot below that which keeps me inside. There is always too much ice and I fear falling, my bones are too brittle to come out of fall on ice unsathed.

@Juliaacv I think as we get older we don't do extreme temps very well. When it's horribly hot, I do not do well if I have to be out in it for very long, I almost always end up with a splitting headache. No one likes weather that is zero degrees and hard to drive in, walk on ice, etc. Fall is my very favorite season and always has been. I love the leaves, the harvest time, etc. AND the moderate temps. Vacation!! I hope it's wonderful for you!

My sleeping time is irregular, depending on the kids' sleeping time. That's a double beautiful rainbow.

Thank you. I love rainbows, and we always saw many of them from our last home because the back of the house faced easterly and the storms usually came through in the later part of the day when the sun was in front of the house.

We go to bed between 1AM and 2AM. I have some surveys that come in after midnight so I like to do them. They will be gone if I wait until the next day.

I believe that the headache was as a result of the weather. I was able to settle down and get a good night's sleep, and I felt better this morning.

I hope both your headaches are gone. As you know, I don't "go to bed". I'm up 24-48 hours and eventually will nod off for an hour or so. Have a good day.

I actually did not realize that you don't go to bed, it amazes me how you can run on little to no sleep. We are both headache free this morning.
