Aren't I too old for ten-hour days?

I volunteered to teach a group guitar lesson this morning. An extra $80 for groceries. The lesson went well. But today is the day I teach until 8:30 PM. In the end, it was a 10-hour day.
I am trying not to consider myself an "old man." But 10-hour days are long
for me. I was pooped by the time day was done.
Do you have your limits as far as how hard you will work at this point in your life?
I am trying to figure out mine.

If the mind is willing but the flesh is weak. So which do you prefer? I know you have already reached your lim8t. Love your body. Love yourself. You only life once.

I hope you have a good evening and I'm sure you'll sleep well tonight.

I slept early this morning and have been awake for about an hour... I'll go back to sleep in a little while.
Pretty just took the stitches out of my hand.

We only make this trip once. I know you love teaching the kids, but have you ever considered...drum roll here...actual retirement?? I mean, isn't Montana calling? What happened to the search for the beautiful French girl? Maybe it's just time...time to be just The Horse, Horsie, or Pony, whichever you feel like being...and do some different things now.

No, you don't need an excuse. You just need to go do some of the things you always might have wanted to do. Evaluate yourself, what makes you really happy? Maybe there is something you really want to do, but haven't yet? Life marches on, and sometimes the marching gets hectic and impossible. Do some things that you think will make you feel happy.
And hey, if that includes pretty French girls, why not?

We would be battling to put in a 10-hour day at anything now. Glad the lesson went well. A little extra money is always handy for something.

When I'm up 48 hours I finally do conk out for a couple of hours. I had planned on sleeping as much as I wanted and taking naps when I retired. It didn't work out that way. A 10-hour day is tiring for anyone...especially if you're not 20 anymore.

Ten hours of work is too long. Well, you deserve a restful night. I work till I feel good about the work and don't get too exhausted. Once in a while that can be okay, we can push ourselves. But not on regular basis.
