The heatwave is abating. I was able to sleep with the window open last night and just the ceiling fan on. It felt great. Today will still be hot, but temp and heat index will not be as bad. So, I have the cordless vac mostly together, now I have to charge it. The kid who cut my grass is a pipe fitter by trade, and I had him correct what I had done wrong with the construction so at least that worked out! I can't wait to try it

We were supposed to get rain last afternoon and it never happened. The wind got real gusty though..for an hour or hour and a half and I heard thunder. Sometimes these storms go around us, and this one did

We're supposed to get thunderstorms today and tonight and hopefully it will cool things off (they say it will). Right now the lawn guys are here and I feel bad that they are mowing in all this sun and heat.
Hope you like your cordless vacuum once you have it up and running.

This kid who mowed the lawn says he feels immune to the heat, because he works in it all day long. That's the kind of thinking that ends up in a heat stroke..but anyway, it wasn't too hot when he was here.

@snowy22315 my son has to work outside occasionally so I worry about him in this heat. Guess if you have to do it daily you get used to it. Seems as if it's a bit cooler where you are than here.

We did get into the 70's for a while in the night, but currently the heat index is 102...so it's not over yet here. I was hoping for a rain to cool things down, but that didn't happen. Today, not supposed to rain. This heat wave has hit so many, so hard. Stay cool, Snowy!

I am trying to, Thanks. Someone offered a ride to the writers group, but I don't think she knew where I lived. She might be at the opposite end of the county, and that is pretty far from here. I would have gone if it had worked out though, because having to drive and get gas in the heat..was not my idea of fun. I am going to try to get freon added to the car on Monday. AC seems to work..but is certainly not ice cold!

It is still plenty hot though. Parking lot at the supermarket felt like an oven on low heat.
