A tractor trailer truck that was involved in Whatcom County in Washington state that was carrying more than 70,000 pounds of honeybee hives that rolled over on Friday May 30 that caused more than 14 million bees to swarm around the highway. More than 24 beekeepers worked to catch the loose bees to return to their hives and reunite them with their queens while deputies with the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) were able to have on Weidkamp Road for a period of 24 hours. After the hive boxes were returned to the tractor trailer where the bees would be sent to their destination safely. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. The cause of the accident was due to make a turn the wrong way on the highway. Link is upi.com/3831748874360 via @upi

14 million Bees Absolutely wow It's very hard to imagine what 14 million bees look like. I wonder if many of the Bees didn't make it back to the Hives

I'm glad there were no injuries. I'm glad they were able to corral the bees as that would have been a terrible loss. Bees are so important.
