Otherwise known as Mulberry. My SIL have this tree in the garden. We recently knew that this is edible. The tree has almost always has fruits in it. I wonder what can we do with this. Do you know this fruit?

I will eat a few black mulberries but I prefer the white ones. They have a better flavor. You can eat them raw or baked in a pie. You can also make jelly or preserves with mulberries.

@rakski We had white mulberry trees on our farm when I was growing up... I only saw/tried the purple mulberries after I grew up and I saw some at a friend's house.

Yes, I know this fruit very well. we have plenty of those trees in Italy. We make jam or jellies using those fruits and ice cream.

it is being sold in my supermarket. Sour and expensive. Remind me of the strawberries.

Yes, I know mulberries! They’re sweet, a little tart, and great for baking. You can use them in jams, pies, smoothies, or even dry them for snacks. You’re lucky the tree fruits often.. it’s a great natural treat!

I love mulberries. The juice stains your skin and clothes but if you rub the stain with an unripened green mulberry that will remove the stain. You can make jam with the fruit or eat them just as they are or with cream and sugar.
