We have had this one for almost 2 weeks ago. My husband immediately fell in love with it and stated that it will be a keeper! He has plans for taking the grand kids out to Ship Island and touring a few more islands in the area. This is a 26' Penn Yan boat that we picked up on the Gulf Coast. It is an older boat, but has so much potential. They were made in New York, but no longer in production. My husband immediately fell in love with it and has a new idea for something to put on it or in it almost every day. We purchased this one from an older man who bought it to restore himself. However, he came down with Covid several years ago and almost died before he got good and started on it. He had a long recovery and now has since been diagnosed with Autism and Dementia. It has a cuddy cabin which has been gutted and we will be able to redesign it as we want. This one is going to be a longer project, but the hubby will be working on it off and on. It will be fun to take it out for a weekend trip! That I am looking forward to! My husband has decided that he wants to keep this boat if all goes well and sell the Skeeter that he bought from his brother last year. I think he is tired of all the things his brother neglected on that one. I want to name this one Yin & Yang. I have been busy with my new job as purchasing agent here lately. I think I need some better benefits along with this job! What do ya'll think? Has he jumped off the deep or just getting started? Photo Credit: My Own

That boat looks big to me. I wish I could go for a ride in it if its sea worthy.

The hull checked out fine. It did have a patch on it but hubby said it was done well, so that was another good thing. I am not looking forward to polishing and waxing that baby though!

That is a really classy-looking boat. I'm sure you'll both have fun doing it up.

You're going to have to open up a boat dealership. Good luck with all of that.

It will be so fun for you and your family to take out and enjoy. I do think you may have to etect a huge building for all of these beauties! I have a friend who inherited a small farmhouse from her parents and it has a huge outbuilding. She didn’t need it as she had a garage. It has a concrete floor, is insulated, etc so she now rents it out to boat owners who store their boats there for the winter or if they don’t want to leave their boats on the water. She is so happy that she is doing this, it’s helping with expenses there and not just sitting empty.
