In our neighborhood in West Virginia there have been a lot of black bear sightings. I wouldn’t want to get close to one, but this one sure is cute. Thankfully they aren’t bothering anyone. I have always been told that black bears aren’t aggressive. Hopefully that’s true. Are there bears in your neighborhood ? There are more bears in this city than there are in the rural area where our Mississippi home is.

There are no bears where we live. It seems that they are getting more and more close to the urban areas. It is not surprising, we re destroying their habitat.

Yes, I believe they are coming because their forests are being destroyed.

@Tampa_girl7 This is what all wild animals are doing. I feel sorry for them.

While there are bears in Oklahoma, none are near me. Wouldn’t it be cool to have an actual bear? You know, if they wouldn’t eat your face.

I know there are bears around here but haven't actually seen one. Occasionally our local Facebook page will post bear sightings and show them wandering around. My son and his family live in the Pocono Mts and they see bears there all the time.

I think that they are driven in from so much of the forests being cut down. We have deer and other wildlife there too. The deer are seen daily.

Yes there are wild bears here in the mountains. They sometimes come out of the mountains and down to where I live. But not that often.

The thought of bears in towns and cities is frightening. I hope that you never ever see one close enough to cause harm.

Interesting that there are more in the city than in a rural area. We used to live where there were a lot of bears. They never bothered us, but I made a point of keeping my distance. They can be aggressive if they feel threatened.

I will admire them in zoo or from a distance. Will not be comfortable if I know that there is one in the neighborhood. Good that they are not aggressive. We don't have bears here. Monkeys keep coming and rarely we get to see peacocks.

They are around, but I haven't seen one. People have caught them on video though. I was just telling friend on the way down here, that They are around and often caught on video in this area. I haven't seen any though. I was just telling friend on the way down here that I bet for every one caught on video there are 10 that are not.

No bears where I am but I am sure they must be somewhere in Florida, That little one is cute, I have always said that if there are bears around it would be good if someone put out a bucket of some food away from the house so the bears get food and no one get bothered,

I certainly wouldn't fancy a run in with any kind of bear, beyond a teddy!

Yes! There have been black bear sightings here locally for several weeks now. Very unusual for our area.

When I lived in Montana, we saw many bears in our neighborhood. A person had to be vigilant. We kept our trash cans in the garage. Here in Illinois, the occasional bear is sighted traveling through or in an isolated spot, but not often.
