What a day

We were up, ready for church and I lost focus and track of time. We were almost late. Several of us talked a long time after church and then Bob and I went to the laundromat to wash the bathroom rugs. I did not take my purse in. We locked the car very securely, with his keys in the ignition. This is so unlike me. I always at least take my keys in in case something would happen to Bob. Shortening the story, I struggled through contacting road service. It actually took less time once the service was dispatched for them to get to us than it took me to get the call center guy properly informed. He kept putting things down wrong and saying it was a different make and model than we had, etc. All the paperwork will go straight to insurance and we proceeded with our day. Bob convinced me that we wanted Wendy's burgers, but he kept driving past them. We stopped at the grocery, I needed salad stuff and something from the pharmacy. We skipped the burgers, came home and ate leftovers. I listened to the neighbors out mowing the lawn at the vacant house. As soon as they left we had thunder. No rain yet. I had best take care of the trash before it does rain. Interestingly enough, as the storm moved in I developed awful pain in my left hand again. I went and got wrist braces to put on both hands and it is helping. Bob became overwhelmingly sleepy and is napping. I hope this is a good afternoon or whatever for all of you.

It was a local service guy, with a tow truck. He was on his way to the grocery store. At least we had a place to be in and safe and it was not dark or anything.

I heard that Wendy's Burgers are really excellent. So you did well skipping those. I am glad I do not have a car to lock the keys in as I would do it all the time Hope the pain in your hand is better now I'm sure after an exciting day Bob is enjoying the nap

Wendy's Burgers are good, but we had really nice burgers at home today, that Bob cooked.Saved us about twenty dollars, I think.

I don't know what time it started storming here but Pretty did go out and mow the parts of the yard whoever mowed with the riding mower missed. I slept through her going out and mowing. I was surprised she got the new mower started on her own. I'm glad you guys have a service to get into the car when the keys are locked inside. Pretty started a Korean stew in the crockpot that we'll have for late supper tonight. Hope you both have a good night.

Is the new mower gas? What is in a Korean stew? Now I know what is making my hands hurt, it is the changing weather.

@GardenGerty Yes, the new mower runs on gas. I think it's pretty easy to start but she has trouble starting it. Korean stew is mostly meat and onions. She bought some packages of mix that just need meat, onions and beef broth added to it. It's pretty good. She made rice for herself to go with the mix and I made a bag of mixed steamer veggies to go with my part of it. It's really good. I'm sorry your hands hurt like that. My right foot can ache when the weather changes... I broke a bone in it back when I was a kid.

I'm glad you were able to get help with the car issue. I have to get trash and recycling toters to the curb soon, too.

We pay a little bit to have emergency road service on our car insurance and this was, I am sure, pretty easy money for them.

You did have a full day. Glad you were able to get someone to help you get the keys from your car. I only done that once, thankfully here at home. I knocked on the door and got Mike's keys to get mine from the car.

I have a set of the keys, on a ring on the outside of my purse, but I locked it in the car. I also, somewhere have a spare. I only took my billfold in to the laundromat, not even my phone. We were just going to be there a half hour.

This does explain why my hand hurt so much last week. Road service for us is the biggest use of our insurance.
