TRUMP CAUSES TEXAS FLOOD

President Trump claims about a climate hoax caused those massive rains in Texas to happen leading to this flood. I don't care if weather events have been occurring for millions of years (just ask the dinosaurs) this catastrophe is squarely a result of him not going to church, even though he has thanked God many times for saving his life in Butler, PA. and has a spiritual advisor at the White House. How dare he pray for the victims and their families. And we can also blame DHS Secretary Kristi Noem for putting her dog out of its misery by shooting it in the head. Could such a heartless person really care about those lives lost in Texas. What a terrible person to put in charge of protecting U.S. citizens from natural disasters and other security threats. Hasn't she done such a poor job with border security. I mean no one is getting into our country anymore and we are losing all our illegal criminals to deportation. Do you call that success. And with Trump thinking of streamlining FEMA, who will provide assistance to those Texans in need? the Red Cross, The Salvation Army, nearby neighbors from other Texas communities. How effective will that be? Just remember that famous quote from Ronald Reagan who said, the most terrifying words in the English language are "I'm here from the Government, and I'm here to help." Now who can make a mess of things better than the government. Definitely not the Red Cross or neighbors helping neighbors. Just ask those hurricane victims in N.C. how effective FEMA was. Oh, If only Kamala Harris won the presidency this never would have happened. She would have anticipated the dangerous rise of water by using her X-Ray vision. So, what if unexpected weather events occur all the time she would have stopped these flood waters with a well-timed word salad to make everything alright. Just like she solved the crisis at the border as Biden's Border Czar. Yes, those who commented and criticized the administration about this tragic event surely knew what they were talking about... Why thank you! I got the inspiration from reading the ridiculous posts and comments here and reading mainstream media's jumping to conclusions to find a way to put the blame on Trump. Democrats and liberals might think Trump's behavior and demeanor are a natural disaster and they have a good point there, but no, Trump is not able to create floods with a snap of his fingers, lol.

This post expresses valid frustration, but it's important to approach disasters like the Texas floods with clarity, not just blame. Extreme weather is complex, and no single person or administration is solely responsible. Criticism of leaders is fair but should be based on facts, not sarcasm or past headlines. What truly matters now is how quickly and effectively help reaches those in need. Accountability is important—but so is unity and compassion in times of crisis.

You are right in all your points. Although they would like to, even the Democrats and liberals can't blame Trump for a natural disaster. They have been occurring way before Trump was elected to the presidency and like you said has no connection to them.

@porwest Oh, of course. The hypocrisy to find blame with Trump and the Republicans is their only goal. Not voting their conscience or standing up for common sense (except Fetterman) is their religion. Every Democrat votes in lock step on anything Trump proposes. It had to be Trump's fault right. Glad to see some responses here saw through the ridiculousness of the views in this sarcastic post. A victory for common sense!

You ever notice how when a disaster happens, if Republicans are in charge, it is man made and the result of policy but if Democrats are in charge, it's just a natural disaster?

Blaming does not solve problems. Climate change is sadly real and we should know by now that there is very little we can do now to stop natural catastrophes. Let's blame our ancestors.

@dgobucks226 The ancient Romans never wore "winter clothing". Tropical plants grew in Rome, Italy was warmer but had a much stable climate. Now it's extreme heat for some days and extreme cold in winter. It's not hard to understand, we are too many. Place 10 people in an empty room. The temperature is fine and stable. Now put in the same room 1,000 people. Do you believe that nothing is going to change?

There have always been natural disasters well before you and I were born. People sensationalize them now as the worst ever, but they were not around back then to make an accurate comparison. People don't realize climate has always gone through warming and cooling periods since the earth was formed. Actually, scientific studies have been done to refute those who claim our climate is the warmest it's ever been. I saw a documentary showing just that, during Roman times the earth was warmer than now. So, it's just the way it is. I agree, to place blame on an individual like Trump who does not create the weather is foolhardy. And this post was written to show how idiotic those who blame Trump or the weather service for this catastrophe are. They are just using it as an excuse to bash Trump and his administration without substantiating facts to back up their claims.

Sometimes it's just hard to ignore the biased untruthful crap about Trump I read on here. These fools hang on every news outlet spewing misleading information and they jump to false conclusions without relevant facts. But of course, they obediently repeat them in a ridiculous post because that's what they want to believe.

@porwest Yes, whatever Trump says even in jest gets a rise out of the Dems, media and TDSers. Their shock, outrage, and moral high ground is totally overblown and stinks of insincerity. Yet, when inappropriate behavior like looting, destroying property or trying to ambush ICE agents occurs, not a peep out of the Democrats. Speaking of the Russian collusion hoax, Congress and DOJ are looking into the involvement of both John Brennan and James Comey. And whether Obama gave the go-ahead.

@dgobucks226 It's also so purposed, when you think about it too. Take the "dictator" comment which TDSers hang onto here, and even the Russia collusion thing. How could anyone take the statement, "I want to be a dictator on day one. I want to secure the border and drill baby drill, and then I won't be a dictator anymore," as an ACTUAL declaration that he wanted to be a dictator. You've got to make a remarkable leap to get there and stand firm that he actually said he wanted to be a dictator. Then there's the Mueller Report which clearly indicated there was no Russia collusion and the entire premise was based on a fake dossier. But the truth just can't get through and TDSers will CONTINUE to claim there was collusion and Trump and Putin are best buds. It's just insane.

silly me thought you would refer to the massive cuts made to the various government entities which deal with disasters. But hey! No one important was effected... just a bunch of minor nobodies.

When a business or in this case a government is bloated with staff in unnecessary positions it becomes necessary to streamline departments. In some individual cases, it is not always fair, but to root out waste overall it is needed to save taxpayers from tax increases and government from overspending. Employees who were let go received severance packages just like an employee in the private sector. They can use those experiences gained in government to find work elsewhere. As far as any effect on the tragic victims of that Texas flood staff cuts had nothing to do with the outcome. The National Weather Service acted in an efficient manner and warned the victims of the rain and potential danger of floods. The federal agency issued a flood watch on Thursday at 1:18pm, estimating up to seven inches of rain on Friday morning in South Central Texas. A flash flood warning was issued at 1:14am on Friday, with a more extreme warning coming at 4:03am, urging people to immediately evacuate to high grounds as the situation became 'extremely dangerous and life-threatening.' DOGE cut hundreds of jobs at the NWS, but experts who spoke to WIRED say the agency accurately predicted the state's weekend flood risk. The Guadalupe River surged more than 20 feet in just a few hours to its second-highest level in recorded history. The area is used to floods all the time and it is reasonably possible that this fact made people remain in the area to ride out the storm. It is tragic, but natural disaster occurs all the time so, placing unfounded blame due to receiving misinformation from mainstream media about the NWS to get Trump is unfair. Hope this explanation helps!

@jaylar Your comments have no basis in any facts! The team at DODGE volunteered to help cut government wasteful spending. They all took a leave from their jobs to help our country. This team is comprised of brilliant people who were tasked with investigating each agency. What they found was fraud, waste and incompetent people whose skillset were lacking for the positions they were hired for. What does the DODGE team and Musk know about FEMA. That there were too many workers there doing too little to justify keeping them on. Your comment about Musk's country of birth and his assistance at DODGE smacks of racism in my view. I get that this will go right over your head. You will believe what you want to believe regardless of the truth. No reason to discuss this further...

@dgobucks226 if Doge had been run by an American of some experience then ... but this is an Afrikanner whose purpose was to get rid of as many non-WASPs as possible. What does he know about FEMA? I got the impression Trump might say a similar thing..

This catastrophic event made me think of the Johnstown flood I read about. It occurred in Pennsylvania in 1889 when the combination of significant rainfall and the failure of a dam to stop the surge resulted in 2,200 deaths, way more than in Texas. Still, any significant loss of life is tragic!
