Peachy tea

Do you remember me saying that as I peeled and sliced the peaches I would put them in lemon water to prevent browning? I did that all the way through. Each time, though, I saved the water. That lemon water also had bits of peach floating in it. Being both frugal and inventive, I boiled some of the "water" down, with a cup of sugar. The result was kind of a peach nectar or syrup. Not juice, but flavorful. I made up some Earl Grey tea and combined it with the peach syrup and we are having it over ice. It is better than the "flavored" tea we had at the restaurant when we visited my brother. I saved quite a bit of the peachy lemon flavored water in a pitcher in the freezer. We shall have peach tea for our cool afternoons.. Do you experiment in the kitchen? Have you ever bought "flavored tea". We do buy it from time to time. Nice to have it in my own fridge.

Yes, I do similar experiments. Not all of them turn out good but enough do that I continue experimenting with foods I'm working with. Congrats on your good experiment!
