I picked a bad habit from the myLot community

We wash our vessels once a day but reading posts here I see some hoard them for even up to seven days
Yesterday they were not washed as the maid does not come on Sundays They were kept for her to wish today - something is never done as a rule here but looking at some here hoarding for seven days seemed OK to me

I like to do it once a day as all vessels dry up at the same time in the draining basket and the water tap is opened just once for washing
We all are guilty of spending too much time here even if it means earning a cent for the work put in lasting over two hours sometimes

@allknowing - I have always washed everything as soon as we finish our meal. I place the dishes in the draining rack over the sink, I immediately dry the knives, forks and spoons and also the pots and pans.
I do not care a lot how much we earn, but I love the interaction here.

i don't think that I have learned any bad habits from anyone on Mylot
Except maybe dunking buns in tea.

Guilty as charged! I used to start my mornings by heading straight to the sink to wash the plates. It was my quiet little routine—coffee in one hand, sponge in the other. But ever since I joined myLot, something changed. Now, before I even touch a plate, I find myself peeking at the latest posts. “Just five minutes,” I say… and next thing I know, I’ve read a handful of stories, laughed at a few comments, and somehow convinced myself the dishes can wait a little longer.
It’s funny how quickly these habits sneak in. I came to myLot to write and unwind, but it slowly became part of how I start my day. Not exactly productive, but there’s something comforting about checking in here first—like saying good morning to a quirky group of neighbors before getting on with the chores. So yes, the plates may sit a little longer, but at least my day starts with a smile.

Sometimes I know that I should stop mylotting and get going with other things in life. Then I bail for five more minutes, then again five more minutes and everything is delayed.

This is your own doing. You cannot blame anyone for that I have destroyed many a milk vessel when the milk got over heated while being busy here.

I wash and clean up right away, every time we finish a meal. I don’t leave any dishes or pots and pans all night ever, no matter what. It’s just what I was taught and how Ive always done it. My home isn’t large, and I just can’t not wash them right away.

The only bad habit I have is to check the posts and comments before I start my day ….not such a bad habit really ….except I probably get too involved and spend too much time here !
