In the good old days I never saw men wering clothes that have colours other than black, white, brown and may be blue
Today they are competing with women and you can see them in every colour under the sun
The photo is of film star Dawan wearing a full red coloured suit No doubt he looks good and we are all getting used to men wearing bright colours these days
What is your view on this?

I was mildly shocked at first but now I accept everything. Men use rings everywhere and piercings too. The last time I was shocked was some years ago when I went to a wedding and both the bride and the groom were wearing nice garments and sneackers in their feet.

Why one should wear torn jeans and that too torn on purpose is not understood

The British former politician, Michael Portillo, is always dressed in brightly coloured clothes when he is presenting his railway travel programmes. In parliament however, it’s probably frowned upon, or maybe even not allowed. I don’t know. People used to be so dowdy, I like how people dress now to reflect their personality. I’m not a particularly colourful person, but I did purchase a pink T-shirt a few years ago. That was quite bold of me.

There is this saying 'Clothes maketh the man' and to some extent there is some truth in it. Not all will go for bright clothes as their personality will not let them.

@allknowing It’s called “dressing soberly”. I’m guessing back in the day, when cameras only took black and white photos, it wasn’t worth getting colourful clothing. It’s just a theory.

@Orson_Kart Aparrt from the black and white photography in the good old days there were limited strides made in all walks of life and that having said one is expected to see things differently now including men wearing colourful clothes with the kind of strides one sees these days .

I wear bright colored shirts all the time. I still wear jeans or jean shorts that are some shade of denim but my shirts can be any color.

@allknowing True, when I was younger, I wouldn't have worn bright colored shirts.

It has something to do with one's personality I get the feeling introverts may not go for it

My uncle wore a pink button down shirt one time to church. I thought he looked nice. One time he wore a bright pink shirt and I had gotten a bright pink skirt to wear to church and we matched. lol In November, my boyfriend and I are going to a concert. I will be wearing a burgundy dress and I told him if he wants to be matching to wear something in burgundy.

Burgandy is a bold colour. You may have to do a bit of convincing
