As you may know we have the tropical storm moving up onto land off the coast of Louisiana and the bands are reaching almost to my area. In fact, I bet it is raining in town here (I am north of town). We have had thunder for the past two hours, but no rain. I'm sure we will get some overnight and tomorrow.
My daughter was planning on visiting today and my granddaughter was going to bring one of the kittens (little Grumpy) home with her. It has been raining most of the day very hard in the Baton Rouge area of Louisiana, so I told her just to wait, especially if it did not let up. We were also expecting rain after 3 pm. It's just after 7 pm now and no rain yet.
Hopefully, we can reschedule for Monday or Tuesday when she is off again. I think we will both be getting rain tomorrow (Friday). So that means I get to love on little Grumpy for a few more days! Yay!
How is the weather in your area right now? So many odd things happening with the weather!!

I didn't mean for you to keep THAT much of the heat! The predicted highs here for the weekend are 92F but we're supposed to get storms Friday and Saturday so, hopefully, that will help the temps again. (Today's high was supposed to reach 91F but only hit 84F with the storms. We did have 100% humidity, though.)
Go ahead and let a little more heat come this way if you need, then... I only meant to tease you.

We had storms all day that kept the temps down in the lower 80s... We get to deal with the heat again Saturday and Sunday... unless I can talk you into keeping the heat there this weekend.

We got all that heavy rain as the low pressure system moved across north Florida before heading into the Gulf and up your way. I'm glad it didn't explode into a hurricane before reaching you!

@moffittjc The heat is crazy. Tomorrow our high is 97. I can't wait to see what the feels like temperature will be!! Around 120, I am betting!!

There seems to be a lot of thunderstorms this summer season. We have been getting them almost daily the past few weeks. Stay safe!

@kareng We've had so much rain so far, I can't remember using my lawn mower so much. Have to refill my gas can today, lol.

I heard that some places in my country have reached over 40 centigrades and that's a very high temperature. Here it is not that hot and now it's about 33 centigrades. Due to a coming typhoon in the weekend and it may have heavy rains. And it shall be cooler a bit after heavy rains.

It has been storming here off and on all day. The predicted high was 91F but we never made it past 84F but the RealFeel was still around 88F this afternoon with the high humidity. The forecast still shows storms tonight and tomorrow for our area.

@LindaOHio We will, major thunderstorms in Lafayette! I guess we will ride on wet until we find a place that we can change into dry clothes because my daughter's apartment is upstairs and that will be a haul without getting wet and that would be if we changed after loading. Now we have rain in Monroe on both days too.

Heavy downpours caused floods. Some cities and town have flooded houses and roads are impassable.

@kareng Only rains brought by monsoon. But they're short. Usually it lasts for 15 to 30 minutes
