My lemon tree grows so well

Hard to believe this little lemon tree grew from a seed. I learned how to soak the seed into sprout from Youtube. And I grew this little sprout and then moved it to my dad's balcony when the sprout was bigger. Now this lemon tree grows "bigger" and you can compare to the one besides it. They were seeds from the same lemon and they became to sprouts at the same time. But one is big and the other is still small, very interesting. My dad likes this lemon tree a lot and takes good care of it. I wonder how long we can have the harvest

There used to be a believe that some trees, if grown from a seed, could take 5 or 6 years to fruit. I hope that's not the case with your little lemon tree. It's looking very good so far. Edit: I just read DaddyE's reply.

Mom grew lemon trees from seeds when I was around 10 years old. I think she started getting lemons when the trees were around five or six years old. I hope the little lemon tree grows up big like its sibling.

Somewhat they don't grow up synchronously

@DaddyEvil You can see they also plant at the same place and they still grow differently

@youless Most of the time, if a plants sprout from seeds at the same time, then they grow the same... It's weird to see two trees that sprouted together not be the same size. Did one get fertilizer and the other not get any?

@allknowing My dad also has an avocado tree and it was also grew from a seed by me I can't expect it will have fruits because avocado is difficult to have fruits if we plant like this. Since the lemon tree grows so well, my dad often thinks we will have a harvest soon.

My lemon tree can be an exception as you can see I can only grow it in a container rather than a land

I hope so but probably we have to be patient to it since other Mylotters say it will need several years to have lemons.

@LadyDuck Your grandfather might plant it in a land and it would be the best.

@youless I remember that my grandfather had a big lemon tree, you need to wait from 3 to 4 years before to see lemons growing.

I have searched it. It will take 3 to 7 years to bear fruit.

@youless That's the result of the study. Anyway it takes patience to wait for the lemon tree to bear fruits. Once it has already bore fruits, it bears then fruits every year.

It's a robust plant. You seem to have a green thumb, congrats. Anything I plant wither. I hope I can grow something that robust too.

It's quite easy to grow them from the seeds. It's easy to make them sprout. There are lots of videos to teach you how to do it online
