Rufus is resting in the photo. He had finished high speed chasing Moxe so it was easy to snap his photo. The painters are done. They finished the house yesterday. They were so kind and thoughtful. I sweetened their well deserved check when I wrote it out. Now we wait for the pediments to arrive so that the painters can put them up under the gables. Dad painter saw me struggling to rake up fallen apples. Yesterday he told me that he had given me the rake he'd loaned me and a little present, too. I went out this morning and tried out the present. It's a cute and very effective mini rake. It works like a charm so I put out less effort now. They also moved the yard swing back against the house and cut back a rather naughty blackberry vine that had been attempting to trip me. Now I wait for those pediments.
