What a Difference a Day Makes

Happy Thursday Everyone! the sun is out but the heat is coming back. I might have been able to enjoy my coffee outside this morning but the lawn crew are here so that ruined that.
Yesterday was nice enough to be able to spend a good part of the afternoon on my deck. The pup and I went out after lunch. I brought my book and she was happy to watch people walk by, sniff the air and just be outside. With my daughter on vacation, the poor pup is probably missing her long walks.
I'm happy to say that not only did I get my daily requirement of Vitamin D but I also finished my book. Plenty of action and page turning. The biggest disappointment was the end. Not the story but the book ended 
Gee I wanted more!!
In case you're wondering the book was 25 Alive by James Patterson. Yup, book 25 in his series of the Womans Murder Club and I've read every one of them. Now I can't wait for #26...there had better be a 26 Mr. Patterson (I threw that in must in case he's reading my post 
)
So that was yesterday and today my older daughter is coming over for lunch and it will be nice to have company. She comes over frequently but since it's usually the 3 of us it's nice to have her all to myself today 
The week is going by faster than I expected and only 2 more days before my daugther gets home from vacation.
I know she's going to be happy she had a nice vacation but come Monday morning she'll be grumbling that she has to go back to work. I'll be happy that I don't have to make my own coffee 
That's all that's going on in my little corner of the myLot world.

Just doing paperwork today. Tomorrow morning cousin #3 should come with her hubby to put my cabinet together.

Hope your cabinet gets put together. I hate that everything comes unassembled these days. I always have to ask for help putting stuff together.

@Marilynda1225 I couldn't even bring the box inside. Cousin #3s husband had to come over and get it for me. It weighs about 50 pounds I would guess.

I know how it is to read a good book and not want it to end. I see movies that are that way for me. I enjoy the characters so much I want to see what happens next.
I hope your daughter isn't too bummed.

I find that when a book is exceptionally good the characters stay with me for days after I've finished the book. Yes, movies are that way too.

I'm glad you enjoyed your day and your book yesterday... Nothing happening here again today... I can't see so our grocery shopping was canceled as was the trip to get the car inspected and tagged. *shrug* Nothing I can do about it, though.

I think Patterson is my favorite author even though I read a wide variety of authors when I'm picking books.

Our weather has gone from extremely pleasant to today which has extremely heat advisories. I really enjoyed the drop in temperatures for the last few days and now I have the a/c on again.
Hope there weren't any tornadoes that popped up in your area. Tornado warnings scare me.

Its rare that my older daughter and I get alone time. So having lunch today was really nice. Usually both daughters are here and sometimes my granddaughter too.
