What a strange Spring and Summer..By late July, we have usually had several really hot (but dry) days here.
It is another cloudy and cool day here.
I have read of intense heat from the Midwest down to Southern States near the Mississippi River.
How is the weather where you live?

It's hot here. It's predicted up to about 100 today and the next few days with some pop up showers to make it that much steamier. The joys of summer. Thankfully I'll be inside for the weekend, my husband and a friend are working outside. I'll be keeping an eye on both of them and making sure they're ok.

@JordanLader So many people do not understand that! And the overload in sodium is not good for you overall either!

@TheHorse Always. I have bottled water and my husband has gatorade in his truck. Despite what some think, gatorade is not the best for hot weather. It contains a lot of salt and if you don't have enough water intake to wash it out of your system, you will start to retain the fluid.

It really has been a strange season! Sounds like your area’s taking a break from the usual summer heat. Over here, the weather’s quite different—we’re pretty far from your part of the world, and right now we’re dealing with heavy rain and gray skies, thanks to the monsoon. It’s been damp, cool, and honestly a bit gloomy for days now.

@TheHorse Strangely, the sun shone for a few hours. It appears that the mighty rains have grown tired of pouring water on us. I suppose it's time to clean up after that. To better drain the floods, I believe it is necessary to keep all clogged drainage systems clean. Taking advantage of this brief break could help floodwaters drain quickly.

@TheHorse Are you kidding? The East coast will be suffering with a heat wave starting tomorrow. The days are alittle shorter now, so hopefully it won't be quite as bad as the one in June.

Hot here too until the last few days. It was nice to actually have some morning coolness on a couple of days so I could get to sleep. Some nights it's just too hot to comfortable and fall asleep.

I am so waiting for a cold drenching rain with no thunder or lightning and go dancing in the rain. So far the sun and heat continues,

It's intense cold here! I think we brought the weather home from Melbourne with us.

The weather in Lake Charles is cloudy with a chance of rain starting this evening through Saturday due to a tropical depression in the Gulf Of America that will go to Texas by this weekend.

Have you ever watched the movie starring Robin Williams, Good Morning Vietnam? Yes, for its time, the language was not considered very clean. The main character, Robin Williams, aka Adrian Conaur, was a radio announcer. His description of how hot it was there at the time was spot on for our current weather temperature. Yep!
