Oh Monday

Oh Monday.......not a day for everyone nor for everything.
Monday I put my robo vacuum out to work. Today I have started it and it has quit not once but twice. It seems to lose its signal-she knows today is Monday.
I am happy that we got so much work done on the weekend here. We got our sweet corn all put away into the deep freezer. I found some marinating ziploc baggies which made the work a little easier as they stand on their own as you fill the bag.
I have to work a bit longer today, Mondays and Fridays are like that. I have an easy go-to meal for tonight. Just frozen, breaded shrimp with some leftover hash brown casserole and a salad.
It is another hot and hazy day here. We are under an excessive heat warning. They are predicting that over the next 36 hours the winds will drive down the smoke in the air to our region. We will have poor air quality during that time. We have a long weekend next weekend, and I hope that the air clears by then-it should.
Soon be time to start working, I should try to coax the vacuum one more time.

Sounds like your robo vac knows the story. This heat is awful. Sorry about the long day and heat advisory. Ugh!

It is okay, the day is over now.
I made Nanny cakes that Ron took for the girls to have for breakfast, and they were both so happy, it was time for a change.
Since we are taking a little vacation in August, I bought myself a new outfit over the weekend, and just now, after finishing work, and supper and the dishes, I ordered myself a nice pair of summer sandals. That will make me forget all about the long day at work.
It is nice to buy summer items at this time of the year, as they are all on sale.

@Juliaacv - Last Friday, after my dentist appointment, I went to the Mall in Switzerland and I found on sale a nice pair of house shoes. I was almost ready to give up, all shoes were too big, when finally I found one pair of my size, I was so happy. Today I go out to see if I can find a nice summer dress.

We are going to get a bit of a cool down, but not today.
We are getting towards the end of July, we should have slightly cooler temperatures-hopefully.
Yesterday was a very long and busy day at work, it felt never-ending and then when I went to turn off my laptop, it wanted to do an update. I had to leave it for an hour's time, I never feel like I am finished working until it is turned off.
I am able to finish 30 minutes earlier on Tuesdays because of working that extra time on Monday. I like the 'shorter' day, it comes in handy if I have any errands to run after work.
In a couple of weeks I will be changing my hours, starting earlier and finishing earlier, which bodes much better for me. I like to finish and relax for just a bit before having to start supper.

@LindaOHio It is funny that you mention that, I just commented to my husband, not 5 minutes ago, that the sunrises are getting a few minutes later this week. He reminded me that we are approaching August.

@Juliaacv That sounds good. And in the fall you'll have some time before it gets dark. We've already lost daylight time. I wish they'd change that in the winter.

I've been tempted to get a robo vacuum but I'm hesitant to spend the money if it might not work efficiently. So, for now I will be the robo vacuum as I push the old cordless around later today. Hope you got yours to work with a little more coaxing.
Hope your long day at work goes quickly and your dinner sounds good.
Life is back to normal here today. My daughter is home and I'm sure she's being hit with all sorts of things at work since she was away for a whole week. We'll be having an easy dinner too. Grilled chicken on a salad.

We have been under a heat advisory. I had to go out to get a package yesterday, but I didn't stay out there too long. I started working on my best friend's diamond painting yesterday.
