Sheep run loose on the streets of Santa Barbara California

The owner of a field in Santa Barbara California had to call the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on Wednesday June 25 to ask them to assist him in rounding up more than 300 sheep who ran away on the road near Mountain Drive.
The owner of the sheep teamed up with the CHP officers to round up the loose sheep and return them to their home safe and sound.
I am not sure if the owner of the sheep will have to pay money to the CHP for asking them to recover the lost sheep or not.

@rakski I hope so as well since the police did work hard to round up the sheep that were on the loose.

300 sheep is a lot of sheep
Did he not have a sheepdog to round them up.
You would think that the owner of the sheep would have to pay for the help he got in rounding up the sheep.

That what I was thinking that the owner of the sheep will pay a price to the police for rescuing his sheep.

That is a good idea to have a Border Collie watch the sheep.

Oh, what fun I would have run with the sheep and then they gathered them up and spoiled all the fun,

Perhaps he let the sheep out to graze on the fresh grass alongside the highway there. The farmers do that here, from time to time too.
