Haha Stovies This might be the least pretty plate of food I have ever posted Bit it could be the tastiest so I make no apologies for how it looks This is what it is Beef, a potatoes, carrots,onions, Oxo stock cubes, Brown the beef and onions The boiler everything Water is absorbed by the potatoes mostly Then serve With Brussel Sprouts Traditional Scottish dish Tasty And Yvonne got it spot on

@LadyDuck Especially good quality diced Scottish beef steak like this stuff we used It was the stuff I got a couple of weeks ago at 75% off

It's about as traditional as it gets these days It used to be a really cheap meal. But this had £8 worth of beef and £2 worth of potatoes in it along with all the other stuff. Years ago it would be made with ground beef which was really cheap But we used diced rump steak this time,

@Ineeddentures I remember WWAAYYY back when, when I could get ground beef for 99 cents a pound. Those days are LONG gone.

I never heard or tasted this dish, but I believe you when you say it's tasty. Perhaps I can cook my own Stovies later. I haven't tasted Scottish dishes yet.

It looks like a plate of sh1t but it tastes really good Raquel. I mean like really good. There is 700g.of.diced beef steak on that It should taste.good.
