Just Another Hot and Lazy Day

Happy Wednesday Everyone! the sun is shining and we're in the middle of another heat wave.( Ugh ) However, it looks like August will be arriving and bringing a drop in these crazy hot temperatures. Meanwhile, it's another inside day.
I'm about 3/4 through the book I'm reading (Blood Moon by Sandra Brown) and it's getting to the part where they are going to figure out who is responsible for missing girls. It's not exactly a page turner but it's been a good read so far. Not as good as some of her other books but worth my time for sure.
As I've mentioned before I'm a sucker for reality tv and the latest show I'm hooked on is Match Me Abroad. It's about people looking for love and hiring a matchmaker to find them the perfect person. I'm definitely not someone who would hire a matchmaker but some of these peoples expectations are crazy.
Aside from reading and tv I did get a little bit of organizing done yesterday. So, I've started a new box for donation. I have 3 items I'm thinking of listing for sale and if they don't sell they'll go in the donation box. It boggles my mind how much stuff we have. I have a walk-in closet in my bedroom and it's become a weed your way through closet lately. Since there's so much stuff that has been stuffed in there I wish I could just magically empty the whole thing and just put back the stuff I really need. A magic genie would certainly come in handy
But, since I spend 90% of my day downstairs and my bedroom is upstairs it's pretty much out of sight out of mind.
Anyway, it's time for me to pour my coffee and enjoy it while I see what's going on here today.

Another heat wave, ouch.
I hope it doesn't get any hotter for you.
Match me abroad, sounds like it could be something I would watch .
I'm a sucker for a lot of these shows also
Coffee time here as well so I thought so would sit and do some on here.

I enjoy chatting here while I have my coffee. It's generally the way I start my day and it makes me feel connected to the outside world.
Match Me Abroad is on season 2 here and if you are a sucker for these types of shows you might enjoy it too.

I watch Match Me Abroad too. Very interesting. I know what you mean about "stuff". It would take a year to clean out my house!!!

Match Me Abroad is interesting but it's like 90 day Fiancé with people looking for love from other countries. I find those shows fun to watch but in reality I doubt I would travel to find love.

@Marilynda1225 I would never do that. Let's say I did find love. Long distance never works out well...and there's the expense of filing for a Visa and all the time involved. I'm too old for all of that.

Did you see where they are coming out with a new reality show called "Virgins"? Sounds like something I will have to catch. It's on MAX I guess.

I haven't had my TV on since June 25th. My girlfriend loves realty shows but I don't. When I watch, it's usually a series that ends until the next season. I'm always cleaning out something. We are temporarily back in RV's on my son's property waiting on all to be finished. I watch Youtube crime most the time lately.

I wouldn't exactly die if I didn't watch tv but it's my daily "go to" for entertainment. My tv is on pretty much all day for background unless I have music playing.
I think most of us can relate to cleaning out "stuff" I swear gremlins bring stuff in while I'm sleeping

@Marilynda1225 Youtube has so much on there so I can skip around to watch shorts and longer documentaries. It's easier than starting up my generator to watch TV. I can use my lap top or iPad instead. Even in a house, I may watch once a week and then not at all for awhile. I have so much else going on I never was a huge TV person even growing up. Except Dark Shadows. My sister and I would race home from school to watch.

I can’t wait for the next few days since they will bring cooler temperatures.
And I tell you, a few months ago when I thought I was going to be forced to abruptly move, I planned to walk out with 50% of my belongings, and make my apartment deal with what I left behind. I’d probably tell my best friend to come by and take a look, but I’m just too tired of everything. I mean even my mattress is worthless (I just can’t get it down the stairs to the dumpster). And the complex been so horrible, I wouldn’t feel badly about making them deal with it.

Blood Moon sounds pretty good. I am reading two books right now..interested in seeing what happens I guess but aren't page turners either. Which Sandra Brown book would You recommend? I would literally pay somebody to organize my walk in

Actually I would recommend any Sandra Brown book as I've been reading her for years. I can't say off the top of my head that I didn't enjoy her books. This one is good and I think it's more me than the book itself.
My walk-in is a mess and I really need to work on getting it at least to where I can easily find stuff. I know I have too many clothes.

I need to drag everything out of my bedroom closet and sort through my clothes. I know there are some I haven't worn since I retired. Those can all go to a thrift shop...

Same with me. I have a whole side of my closet that has the clothes I used to wear to work and I've been retired for quite a few years already. I definitely won't be wearing most of them anymore.

I don't really have an excess of clothes but I did find five long skirts yesterday. I'm having trouble donating them. I might just keep them a bit longer.
