It is fairly low in calories, but the flavor is nasty. I have decided to drink healthy heart plant based milk and just use regular milk in coffee. Yes, I do like most of it Not this Kroger brand though. I don't think I am going to shop at Kroger anymore anyway unless they have some kind of super deal going on. They didn't have anything priced well in the store in m opinion. I know that is everywhere pretty much these days but there are still a few good discounters around

I've never liked almond milk. I much prefer coconut milk or oat milk.
I have friends who rave about Aldi and Lidl. I don't know if you have those in your area. Even Trader Joe's has good prices on a lot of stuff though it doesn't replace a full grocery store IMO. Their fresh meat is expensive but I can get some good deals on frozen shrimp and fish.

Yeah, I love Lidl. Aldi isn't as good as it used to be. They are both in this region along with TJ"s

I tried almond milk once, never again
It was not very nice .
I have drunk cows and goats milk all my life but I thought I would give some other kinds of milk a try..
I won't be trying anything else

Don't give up. I bet you would like oat or coconut milk. Oat milk tastes the most like regular milk..especially if you get the creamy version.

@Ineeddentures The canned almost solid version of coconut milk used in the can usn"t like the stuff in the carton in the milk section. You knew that right?

I use it in cereal or milk. Sometimes I will drink a glass too with baked goods or maybe a meal if I am in the mood for it.

@LadyDuck 2hy did he suggest no milk? Your hubby is frail and probably needs the calcium. I goes he could take a supplement though. You do eat yogurt and chrese.

@snowy22315 - As the doctor suggested to my husband not to drink milk, I only use milk for the cakes, but we both never drink milk.

I'm sorry the milk didn't work out for you. I've had oat milk ice cream which was really good. We haven't had Krogers here in decades.

Yeah, there was one in Erie when I was small. It must have closed in 1964 or something.

I do go to Ruler at times, they are the bargain division of Kroger. Their prices are very comparable to Aldi. I only keep milk to cook with and for the son’s use, but we don’t really drink milk. My oldest girl likes oat milk better than almond milk, I’ve tasted it and it’s not bad at all. I never have cared for almond milk, not sure why.

It seems like so many things are flavored with almonds or have almonds in them...a little goes a long way with almonds.

Walmart makes some things pretty well, and others not so much
