Today is my trash day. The trash truck makes a lot of noise picking up the trash.
If the lid is up you get charged more for your trash. To me that just does not seem right.
Today is also National cheesecake day. Cheese cake is one thing that I have only made once and I used a box mix to make it. It had cherry filling.
I have had cheese cake at other people's house but have never bought any. But I do like cheesecake.

I hope with the new mayor here, we will also have garbage collection even once a week. Right now we manage our own trash.
I miss eating cheesecake. I like strawberry and blueberry cheesecakes but they are not available here in my province. I think the last time I had them was more than 15 years ago...

@jstory07 we burn some and we just pile some of the leaves near our fence so that they will decompose..
The bottles and cans are given to those roaming around who buy scraps...

Cheesecake isn't food... I'm glad you enjoy it.
I don't know what day the trash truck comes here. I do hear it once in a while early in the morning but just don't pay attention. Usually, I'm either reading or playing on myLot.

If you put too much rubbish in your bin here and it is open even by an inch you get a yellow sticker stuck on your bin and it’s not emptied. The man across the road from us gets them all the time.
I love cheesecake, but not the baked ones. I have used kits but I usually make my own.

I'd be chasing after the bin lorry with the unemptied bin and emptying it myself
Them leaving bins in emptied, especially the landfill black bags can attract all sorts of vermin

We all have huge rolling trash cans with lids. The lids don't have to be shut, but we all do shut them. Sometimes, the wind blows the lids up and over. But if we have a lot of trash and try to put some next to the can itself, they will not pick it up. It has to be in the can.
I haven't had cheesecake in several years. It's delicious, but so fattening I always turn it down...too much guilt, I guess.

I used to make a mean cheesecake. Your trash people should not charge if the lid is up. Suppose the wind blew it open?

Trash days are always noise around here, When I lived in NYC that NY cheesecake is to good I could eat it all the time,

I think if the lid is slightly raised, it shouldn't matter. They already charge so much. I love cheese cake. Mostly regular cheese cake without filling but if I go to the Cheese Cake Factory, I like the key lime or Snickers. I haven't made one in years.
