The difference a day makes.

Most of us here in the US have been in a horrible heat wave with extremely high heat indexes for a long time now. Now, we are to have 5 days of much milder temperatures.
Don't be jealous, ok? It is currently 12:30 PM, and 69 degrees, and it's the last day of July! We are in what they are calling a cold wave, and it dropped like a stone last night. The high for the next five days will be between 72-79!
Of course, this comes with a cost--pretty much everything in life does. Wildfire smoke is hitting us and if it's not raining, it's hazy and smoky, so there's that. But still, it's cooler! Yay!

The heat is not kind to me, either. I don’t suffer from it as badly as you do, but I get overheated easily. This is such a welcome change! I know I am repeating myself, but I am ready for FALL!!!

My oldest daughter is a Fall nut just like her mama. We have plans to do the local orchard, and the pumpkin patch. We hope the son will feel like going, or at least tagging along...but we shall see.

I have been and am spoiled. My world has had some heat- up to maybe 90 but it cools at night and I have A/C and no need to meet a schedule. That being said, it is July so we are in drought and the grass is yellow dry. We're headed to the 70's again tomorrow.

@MarieCoyle You have an overloaded plate. I both admire you and worry about you.

It's just what mom's do...you would do the same if you needed to and the need was there. I won't lie and say it's easy, because it's not. I do hope with all my heart that it will be worth it. Thank you so much for your caring, Lenore.

Our grass was downright crunchy but it’s getting greener since we’ve had some rain in the past week. I try to keep somewhat of a schedule, but it’s hard with son having so many medical issues. I just do the best I can. It works out somehow!

It feels so nice! It's supposed to get hot again in a few days. I wish it wasn't, but it's still summertime.

I think our cool front will only last four days, but you never know. It feels nice to be able to go outside.

It was on the news one day last week that Alaska was 90 degrees...and people were swimming in the ocean! I just can't imagine!

I am one of those weird people who love Fall and winter. I don't like ice storms, but I like the wintertime.
