Oh this is so disturbing. A zoo in Denmark is asking for people to give unwanted or sick household pets like chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even small horses to be used to feed the big cats like lions and tigers. They say that the animals will be "gently euthanized" before being fed to the big cats. Really? They are going to feed them animals that were just given life-ending drugs?
I am a student of biology. I get the whole circle of life thing. I understand that they need to be fed meat. I do not like the idea of them soliciting donations of unwanted pets. Um how about finding them new homes and proper medical care instead of just feeding them to lions?
This story really disturbs me.

I read about this yesterday and said they might as well let people "donate" unwanted kids and spouses, as long as they were in good health.

I read about this yesterday; and it makes me livid. This is so, so wrong.
