I hope the photo shows up. That is brave young Painter Guy up there doing the final touches on the pediment. The time for our mini escape is sneaking in close now. Next Monday we are packing the car and the dogs and heading West. We live in Southwest Washington state. We will head all the way West when we drive out next Monday. All the way to the coast of our state and a portion of North America. I have no idea exactly what the little town and area will be like. The motel sounds like a 50's special, with kitchenettes. I hope for Rufus dog's sake we can get to the beach and water easily. Moxe will politely walk the other way when she sees water but Rufus? Bring on the water!! I have heard the area we are headed to is known for clamming so the beach should be good. I am not steady enough to climb over driftwood and rocks so I hope the beach is smooth and sandy. One thing I will NOT bring is a computer that is internet ready. I will bring my little guy that I write with but that is it. Three days of zip internet. Motel will supply a TV but we can put on our ignore hats. I am hoping the dogs don't have a bark fest. Anyway. I have started to think about what we must bring.

I could not be up as high as that guy in your picture. I’d fall in a minute. I just love how it looks overall. We will miss you, but I know you’ll enjoy getting away from everything so much. I look forward to hearing about it when you get back!

The trip sounds like fun, and a real getaway I hope the dogs behave. Friend and I are leaving for a short trip as well, but not until next Friday A getaway to the beach sounds nice.
