Ugh. This is how you know summer is winding down. The dreaded letter with the schedule.
Nothing was a big shock to me because a guidance counselor already told me that it was 4 college preps and 1 honors. Man I love that "new" supervisor. I just threw it out there at the end-of-year conference that I'd eventually like to get back into the H world since my experience with generals (lowest level) hasn't been so hot. No G and an H class this year! woohoo!
I had also asked the supervisor and principal if they could get me down to the bottom floor. With my balance issues I can't do the long flights of stairs. I was using the elevator by the end of the year but that isn't an option in an emergency. They've seen me struggling and took it seriously. I will be floating between 2 classrooms that are directly across from each other. As a year 25 teacher I'm not thrilled about floating but it wasn't an optional choice.
The good news is that my schedule looks decent. The most I have is 2 classes back to back. 2 of my off periods are lunch ones. One will be mine. I sincerely hope the other isn't cafeteria duty. I would happily take in-school suspension over that. We shall see.

What Amber said. I worry you will take a bad tumble and break something vital!

Great you are rid of the stairs and have higher level students to teach. It feels good when supervisors listen and try to make things better.
