Here’s another “well, duh” songs from the queen of “well, duh.” I have been so overwhelmed (in the best way possible) by the beauty on this trip. Now to head for home through more beauty. But first, a song! Grand Canyon Song - Steve Goodman I absolutely LOVE Steve Goodman’s introduction to this: “Here’s a song for the Grand Canyon. I wrote this after I walked to the bottom in 1975. I just got back.” (For the record, the live show featured here was recorded in 1978.) “It’s so beautiful that it takes your breath.” That is one of the most accurate line ever put in a song. I was in tears from looking at the beauty…then laughing as a squirrel walked up to a visitor and took a drink from his water bottle. Yes, indeed. Run, come see what this river has done. Were you allowed to go into the grand canyon area at all? I keep reading about the horrendous fire that's affected the north rim.

I can’t believe I have heard this one, but I have. It would have been so cool to see the squirrel do that!

There are a few natural beauty spots that have inspired songs. Our Uluru often inspires song-writers too.
