I think we all know quite a bit about cats. I went diving and found some more facts we might not be as apt to know. Here we go:
* Cats can be right or left pawed just like people, and get depressed and have anxiety just like people.
* A cat's purr can have a frequency that is believed to be medically therapeutic.
* Cats don't typically meow at other cats but meow to communicate with humans.
* Cats can make over 100 different sounds.
* One way that they communicate is through slow winking of the eyes.

Several years ago I had an orange tabby named Sandy. He was found as a 4 week old kitten all by himself under a dumpster after Superstorm Sandy. (hence the name) Obviously he was separated from his mama way too young and it caused massive separation anxiety during his 6 year life. It was crazy. He would sit in the window howling when I got back from work. If I was outside on the steps and he was inside--separated by a glass storm door--he would freak out. And forget when we would go away on vacation. I had to pay someone to go to the house and sit with him for an hour or two because he would be out of his mind.

Poor animal. Some are worse than others. This is one reason I have always tried to have two cats at one time. I firmly believe that animals need another of their species to hang out.

Good information. I had a cat named Pussu and she made me understand everything through her meow.

Some can communicate with them and some can't.
