They Are In A Hurry

When we first got home I heard peeping. But it wasn't all the way out. In about an hour I seen this. Then we went to play euchre and came home to 2 more. Just 5 more eggs to go. They were not due to hatch until tomorrow. But they are healthy and mouthy. Not unusual for some to be a day early. But when I started dumping wood chips into the tote to move the 2 dry ones I found 5 eggs. One of the young hens had been going inside it to lay. 
It was a good auction day. I spent about 5 dollars. For that I got 5 ears of corn, over a peck of green beans and a shopping cart. This is the one with the bad wheel that sold a couple of weeks ago. They decided not to take it 
.
Euchre was fun tonight. We played a few games. My partner and I won more than we lost. But hubby and his partner won a few.
I will get better pictures tomorrow of the chicks. Hope you had a good day.

You may have to build an addition to your chicken coop! I hope they all hatch healthy and fit in well together with the rest of the flock.

I already have an area inside that they will go to in a couple of weeks. That lets the older chickens get used to them and gives them more room.

What a pleasant surprise That took me to a memory We were playing hide and seek and I went to hide in my neighbour's outhouse. And wha do I see there Our hen had laid nine eggs!!!

I enjoyed my day working at and getting exercise thanks to a mini bike that was purchased so I can lose pounds for health reasons.
