It seems to me that these days bring a chef is not enough ……being a famous chef is not enough ……no, for some they have to add their name to this set of saucepans , or that gadget that you never knew you needed….
So, my question is …..would you buy any kitchen equipment just because it had the name of a famous chef on it ?
Do you think the items are better because they are endorsed by a famous chef ?

No, and I would be less likely to buy it.. They are jacking up the price, just because the name is on it.

I agree. The celebrity chefs haven’t had a hand in making the items and I bet they never really use them ….its just a marketing tool and a money making exercise in my opinion.

I would never do this and I don't believe an endorsement makes it any better than it was before.

I wouldn't. They are just slapping their name on something to make $$. I do have a covered casserole dish from Paula Deen that I got from Kohl's many years ago but that is because I had $20 in Kohl's cash and that is what it cost. I didn't get it specifically because her name was on it.

I would not buy any kitchen item if it had the name of a famous chef on it. That does not matter to me.

I wouldn't know if the name of a famous chef was on kitchen items... I don't watch television so wouldn't have any idea who was famous or not.
