I made sure he could read it. He took the list, I wrote little apples, he came back with plums. I wrote little soups for the cat. No little soups. He was supposed to get a cupcake for my parents anniversary. He came back with cupcakes with back to school thenes on them The rest of the things were OK.. Ahh, the adventures of sending a man to the store. Do you have an interesting experiences to share?

I can share a funny story from when Pretty was around 12 years old. We went into a shopping mall to buy her some underclothing. She checked out one side of a rack of small clothing and I looked on the other side of it. I found her size and pulled some of them off the rack when somebody walked up behind me. I assumed it was Pretty and held up the items I found and thought she's like while looking at sizes on the next row and asked, "Do you like any of these?" The person didn't take them out of my hand to look at them or say anything. I looked up and I had been trying to hand bras and panties to an older woman who asked me what I thought I was doing... Turning beet red, I told her I thought she was my daughter and I was helping find the right sizes for her... She just stood there staring at me like I was a bug she was ready to stomp on... Pretty came around the rack and took the clothes from me and the lady glared at me again and stomped off. I told Pretty never to leave me alone if I was looking for clothes for her again!

@snowy22315 Nope. Are you trying to imply I shouldn't have helped my daughter? Or that you would have been offended over a dad helping his daughter buy small clothes? How do you think other single fathers buy clothes with their daughters?

Vince did this in a store but he was holding up some very lacy negligee and turned, supposedly to me, and said 'You'd look good in this'. But it wasn't me he was talking to! He was probably lucky he didn't get his face slapped.

He sounds like me. Somehow, at times, I know that I should get apples but when I see the states of the apples, I went on to get the berries or strawberries instead.

@snowy22315 Probably he is not a grocery person. I am a better grocer shopper than my wife as I take note of more things than her. So I am always tasked to do the grocery shopping.

What an adventure! You never know with him. My dad used to be like that, but eventually he got tired of having to go back that he started to pay closer attention.

A few years ago when I was visiting Chris, it was 18 degrees outside so I asked him to get me some apples and bananas. He got me red apples and they were way too sweet. I know about the little soups. My cat Lily loves those little soups.
