You wil; always find capscums in our fridge as that is what I need to add in most of the dishes. The flavour of capsicum adds to the taste of any dishe when it is added We even make capsicum pakoras. I added capsicum to the stuffing I had made to fill the spring rolls Although the rolls did not turn out good the taste - thanks to the capsicum - was great. I know there are three colours - red yellow and green but I only use the green capsicum

I was trying to recall what we call them here and only remembered bell peppers. I believe we get one from time to time.

We call them bell peppers and there is also an orange version. I rarely use the green one, only for curries. I prefer the sweeter ones and eat them most weeks in various dishes. They are delicious roasted and I also eat them raw in salads. Nice!

We call them capsicum What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet....Shakespeare I am not sure we get other colours besides green here.

@Orson_Kart We distinctly call it capsicum which you call bell peppers and chilies are hot and spicy As long as we understand each that's all that matters.

@allknowing Capsicum is the scientific name, but also includes the hot chilli version. We distinguish between the two by calling them bell peppers and chilli peppers. Love the Shakespearean quote! Parting is such sweet sorrow. Green is the unripe version of the other colours. Red being the sweetest, then orange and yellow. .

We call those bell peppers and I use them in a lot of my cooking along with onions. I use all three colors in my cooking. (I've been calling them sweet peppers on myLot because I didn't think anyone would know "bell peppers".) They do add a very good flavor to a lot of foods.
