Happy Monday everyone! it's a beautiful sunny morning here in my little corner of the myLot world.
I had company yesterday and as much fun as it was I'm tired today. Thankfully I don't have anything that has to be done today.
The only thing I "have " to do is call about my property tax bill. We have the option here of paying it in installments over the next 6 months OR paying it in full. I've always paid it in installments but for some strange reason I forgot the first payment was due on Aug 15 and if you didn't send in the first payment by then you aren't qualified for installments and it's due in full by Sept 1st.
So, I'm going to call them today and see if I can plead for them accepting my 1st installment late and not be stuck having to pay the whole bill by next week. I can't believe what a knucklehead I am that I forgot.
At least I got my credit card all straightened out and they took the hold off so now I don't have to worry about that. Still shaking my head with all the hoops I had to jump through just to prove there was no fraudulence on my card. Guess I should appreciate that they are so vigilant when there's suspected fraud involved.
It's a double coffee morning and I'm hoping those magic beans do their trick.

I got up early this morning and it is a double coffee morning for me too.
I did manage to get alot of work done this morning, which is a bonus because I will tire as the day wears on.
It is a cool day here, the sun is in and out of the clouds.
Good luck with pleading your case with the tax department, there should be a one time forgiveness that they can extend to you. Fingers crossed for that.

Hope your double coffees helped you get through your work day.
I'm really hoping the tax people will see that I've never missed a payment and will still make an exception and let me pay in installments.

Monday was a bank holiday here but we had knocked ourselves out with my Granddaughters birthday party so Monday we spent recovering from it. Hope the council are sympathetic to you.

Yes I was able to get my tax bill reinstated to installments after pleading that they review my payment records seeing I've never missed a payment nor been late

I’m sorry you forgot, but I wouldn’t have thought they’d be so tough on the rules. I mean it’s one mistake after all.
We had a nice rain last night, and it is blessedly cool today. The oppressive heat will be back, but for now I’ll enjoy this.

I still have to call them and hopefully they will overlook my lateness and still let me pay in the installments.
The temperatures here are beautiful today and it would be wonderful if this could be year round

Ugh! I hope you can get them to accept a late installment. I always put a alarm on my phone for such things so I don't forget. It sure helps me out of some jams.
That coffee does sound good. We don't have any but I may be putting it on the list for the first half of next month. We'll see. The stuff is going up in price.

I hope you can get them to accept the late payment and pay the rest in installments.
I only have my car to pay property taxes on so I'm good.
I couldn't see Sunday or Monday so have just been listening to my laptop read ebooks to me.

It's already Tuesday for me and it's movie night. At least I think it will be. The lovely man that runs it has a very sick wife but there are others that can step in. It only involves putting in the DVD and pushing 'start'! lol

I'm glad you got the credit card fiasco straightened out. I hope you can plead your case with the installments. Cousin #2 came over today and did her usual. Cousin #3 is supposed to come over Thursday.
