Oh, No! My Mirror!

I have had a lovely antique mirror on the wall behind my bed for about 15 years now. Today, just a little bit ago (about 2:30p) it fell. I thought it was something going on outside. It made a horrible crashing noise. My grandson came running. Luckily, it was still intact but the things in the outlet below it weren't. My grandson was able to find another plug with several outlets on it(whatever those are called) and got it all back in working order. I have both my laptop battery and my phone charger there. We have put my mirror in a corner on the floor for now. These walls are just plaster board and it is a wonder that the little nail that was used stayed as long as it did. Thank you, Mr. Nail. It was a small one.
Thank goodness the mirror is okay. I am not sure about me though. Haha. It was scary having this loud bang happen behind me.

At least it wasn’t broken. It must have been scary to hear the noise of it though.

It really was. I thought it was coming from outside at first.

I'm glad you weren't hurt and the mirror wasn't broken.

Me too. It sure scared me. I hope we can find a better place for it. I don't really like it laying over in the corner.

@celticeagle I hope you can find a stud in whatever wall you decide to hang it on so it won't fall like that again.

No, It fell straight down along the wall. Thank goodness. I'm glad it happened when it did because my grandson was awake.

I can imagine how scary that sounded, and I am glad your mirror is all right. My mom used to hang mirrors on picture hooks,

Yes, that would have been better. I don't think my granddaughter was thinking when she hung it.
