Semi Busy Today

I got a few things finished. And will finish a few more tomorrow. For today we got 2 more quarts of tomato juice. That was the last of the ripe tomatoes. I also processed 3 more pints of sauerkraut. The last of the wood is moved now. I will get a new picture of that area when I get it mowed.
Tomorrow I will pick the green tomatoes, bell peppers and hot peppers. That will finish the garden stuff except the gourds.
I checked my spices and need to buy allspice before I can make apple butter. I can get that and more sugar Friday when we order. I have enough sugar to make a couple of batches of grape jelly. I might do that tomorrow. I might also pick some of them to take to the auction.
For the rest of the evening I will play my phone games and crochet. I have started a new project that I think will be very cute.

Jelly isn't hard at all. Just time consuming cooking it down

I tend to replace my allspice about every other year. I use it in cooking some meats.

I had an upset stomach this afternoon so stayed in bed and slept. I had some chicken soup this evening and went back to sleep again. I'm still not feeling my best tonight.

Sounds like a lot of things to keep you busy.
It's always amazing to me how much sugar a person can go through baking and making jellies, etc. It goes fast.
