Short time at the pool

Well it was 2 hours but that feels short after the more usual 3 and 4 hour sessions I've been doing.
The pool was cold. The sun was peeking in and out. I was the only person there. I floated on the pool mat. I'm sure I fell asleep for awhile. The freaking "lifeguard" was very busy on his phone the whole time. I could have drowned without his knowing.
Soooooo I was like "F it" and got out. The kid yesterday was nice and put the pool mat into the shed when he saw me starting to head there. Today? Bro didn't even look up. Whatever.
I headed back over here. I checked the mailbox and was shocked to find nothing after several days. It is usually just junk mail or crap for former residents but the thing was empty.
So today was more short and quiet than I was expecting but that is okay. I'd rather that than BS and drama.

At least you had a nice, quiet float and nap at the pool.
We're talking about going and doing some shopping at Walmart and Price Cutter here in town. (I have been craving chicken strips from Price Cutter for over a week.
Pretty wants to pick up some stuff from Wally World. I can see to drive today so no reason not to go.
I am wondering if I should actually put on more clothes to go out today. It's still 60F outside and sprinkling... Maybe shoes instead of the sandals I usually wear?

So sorry your pool time is coming to an end. You know you and others working with kids were on my mind after the latest shooting. It's just crazy in this world. You should be able to enjoy your work and be safe, as well as all the students.

It's too bad it has turned cooler for your last free days.
