Two weeks ago when we were on our trip we spent one night in a Travelodge..a Wyndham hotel property. They contacted me a few times before the visit to do registration online and all this stuff. Afterwards since they contacted me constantly I filled out an after visit survey. I told them everything was fine, but they needed to offer more soap. That was a mistake since they have contacted me several times about this Saying I was "dissatisfied" with my visit. I never said that. It was just a minor suggestion for improvement. Iam feeling harassed Anyway, again this AM I found myself trying to explain my comment. I told them this was it though. I didn't want to hear anything else from them unless they were going to offer a free stay at a Wyndham property. . Have you ever been harassed for your opinion?

A little bit from CVS, but definitely nothing like this situation. I just wanted to enter for a cash prize, but didn’t count on them bothering me about my opinion.

@snowy22315 It would be funny if it weren’t so annoying.

I wouldn't entertain harassment such as that. I would politely explain to them after expressing the concern about the soap and then start deleting any emails that come from them. It sounds like they are horning in on you because nobody else bothers with that nonsense. We had a poor experience at a hotel once, after staying there two other times that same year. I wrote to the hotel and told them that I expect another weekend (and it was a long holiday weekend) at their expense as I was a loyal customer. The proprietor happened to own 2 other hotels, and we were offered a stay in either of those, but we advised them that they needed to right their wrong at the original location, and since there were no other long holiday weekends that year, it would be extended into the next calendar year-and it was. It was all settled within about 2 emails.

That's nice. We liked our stay fine except for the soap issue

@snowy22315 The issue that we had was that we were placed at the end of the hallway, right beside the stairwell. The stairs are the way outside that the smokers were using in order to go outside to comply with the smoking regulations. We had to keep our window closed because of the smoke and the noise and there was the noise of them in the stairwell coming and going. It did merit a free stay at another time.

@snowy22315 They changed our room this past stay, but they gave us a huge reduction. We were very well compensated for their error, which we never would have known, had the front desk attendant not accidentally spilled the beans. Then she was on the hook, without us asking, for a reduction.

Wow! So do you think you were talking with AI? That could be why you they went overboard with a simple suggestion!!! AI will be the fall of America if it isn't stopped SOON.

@snowy22315 I think it is possible also. Have you noticed the predictable text showing up while you are typing here? I'm assuming that is also AI driven.

I agree. It was harassment what it was. I think there were different entities doing it, they might not be aware the other ones were doing it.

That's really a bit odd and very 'off' too, in my view.

@JudyEv Maybe so they try to pinpoint the root of the problem or appear concerned. One can only guess.

Anything else that comes in with the exception of a free stay is going to be ignored.

I would have ignored them after giving my opinion. *shrug* They can't bother you if you ignore them.
