Orville's back!

I think I previously wrote about my little buddy Orville, a box common dragonfly who showed up last summer. His little squarish black and clear wings remind me of the plane that Orville and his brother Wilbur flew at Kill Devil Hills, NC.
So I named him Orville and then his brother Wilbur showed up. Cousin Oliver came back today as well as an unnamed friend.
They like to hang out on the back patio and sometimes on the front porch. I was getting concerned they might not come back this summer so you can understand my delight at seeing them this morning.
Dale tried to say they were different ones, but I know my little fellas when I see them.

@1creekgirl Very sad, I often watched the dragonflies flying in circles over our pond. I hoped that at least through the summer I watched the parents and their children.

How interesting Miss Orville, you are not the only one who has a friend like no other. My 6 year old son calls all the caterpillars Valentina.

How can you tell them apart? I judge by them recurring in the same place all the time. I should maybe watch them more. I have a friend like Orville who seems to greet me at my west door each time I come home.

I suppose it's slightly possible these are new ones, but I believe they're my little fellas.
