Well this was a quiet Labor Day

I woke up "late" (8am) this morning. I just hung around and waited until noon when I had a hair appointment booked with a mobile stylist. She was great. My hair is dark brown again but I give it just a month or 2 before it starts to look blonde again. The girl was shocked that it was so light just from the sun. Yeah. That's just the sun. I'm back to work tomorrow but I'm not going to be in a rush to go tanning until like next month. I'm plenty dark right now.
My plan was to go over to the pool when she was finished but I was tired and didn't want to soak my hair in chlorine. I was really kicking myself in the butt but I was like "you're almost 50 and you don't have to do things you don't want to do". So I took like a 3 hour nap instead of going over to the pool.
I'm sure I'll regret it tomorrow when the pool is closed but it is what it is.
For now I'm just going to make dinner (meatballs) and meal prep lunches for the week. I can't even believe it is back to work tomorrow.
Ugh. Where did my summer go?

I would love a mobile stylist, that would really be convenient.
I'm a bit melancholy having to pack in the last hours of my vacay to go back to work tomorrow, but it is because of the week that I took off.
I hope that you have a decent day back tomorrow.

@Juliaacv I paid a seriously stupid amount but I didn't have to go to a salon and have my butt numb after hours of sitting there. I acknowledge that the price is nuts but I also am willing to pay for the convenience. I pick up the extra hours at work to be able to do it.
My hair is super dark brown again which I don't love but I give it a couple of months until the tanning beds have it light again.

I'm glad you were able to get your hair back to where you wanted it to be. A mobile stylist, sounds great to me!
Naps are great, it will take you awhile to get your schedule back, I'm sure.

Oh my schedule is definitely F-ed for a few weeks. *and* I have a 1st period class this year. I mean I always stress about being late for anything but with work I was like "chill you don't have a class". Oh I have a class this year.
I was still always there on time and don't even know why I got myself so upset but this year. . . I'll have 20+ kids waiting on me.

Teaching is stressful. The kids, noise levels, worrying about safety, etc. I have friends and some family that are teachers. It’s not always fun.

It was quiet for me as well. I noticed the traffic was picking up after lunch, so I came home and did a little cleaning (took some stuff up to the attic) and laundry. Posted my favorite Buffett song on my Facebook page in tribute.

The summer was over in a blink of an eye. Winter will soon follow. Ugh.

I'm tired this evening. I didn't sleep today and spent the time cleaning and doing chores around the house. We have an inspector coming first thing in the morning to look at the work the construction crew did last month. I'll need him to look at the storm window in my bedroom. It won't close all the way. Their company secretary said they'd either fix it or replace it after he looks at it. We shall see.
