Very Tired

And not finished yet. I still need to pick more grapes and water plants. Plus put the chickens up for the night. I did get the coop cleaned out this morning. It wasn't hard as everything was very dry. So at least it wasn't heavy. But very dusty. That's why I wanted to get it cleaned. The chicks are out there now. I am thinking dot head might be a rooster as it's getting bigger than the others now. Two of the others have feathered legs. I hope both of those are hens. I made another batch of grape jelly and picked my apples. I had enough for a batch of apple butter. I just finished water bathing those jars. So I am finished in the kitchen at least. I am taking 4 half pecks of grapes to the auction to sell. I also have almost a peck for a friend. She is bringing me green beans. We will probably do those tomorrow afternoon. But they are more of a sit down job. Time for me to get back outside. Hope you had a good day.

Regardless, they are all so cute looking. I have been feel extremely tired since late last week. I have a rash on about 1/4 of my body, indicating seasonal allergies. It takes some time to adjust, but next month this will pass.

We never use 'peck' here as a unit of measurement. Just another difference between our countries.

When will the guess work be over as to dot head? Much longer? Nice that you have friends that you exchange food items with.

Sorry, you worked too much on Labor Day. I know the term is confusing, but “Labor Day” is a day when you DON’T labor, but instead celebrate all the laboring you do the other days. Hope you get to rest up some. Way too much work. I’m tired, and I just did some laundry.

We need to explain that to the crops . They don't pay attention to our holidays. I will a little today.

I can see that one looks bigger, I hope two are hens. You are working so much, I know that there is a lot to do before the bad weather settles in, but you should take a break.

Had a busy day too. I washed my clothes, hung out the clothes on the line, went grocery shopping, and ordered another pair of eyeglasses, and worked on my best-friend's diamond painting. I tried to pay the power bill too, but the payment didn't go through. I hope it goes through today.

It was a busy afternoon here. I've been cleaning the house, trying to get it ready for the inspector in the morning. All the towels and washcloths are folded and put away, I did the dishes again this afternoon and cleaned counters and stovetop. I also swept the kitchen floor and took the bathroom and kitchen trash out. Pretty still needs to vacuum floors through the living room, the bedrooms and the hallway. I haven't slept yet today and I'm exhausted. I hope you have a good night.

@wolfgirl569 Yes, it is. I wrote a new discussion about them. I still haven't been to sleep yet. I'm eating again and going to sleep when I catch up on myLot.

You certainly were busy. We don’t have “ peck “ as a measurement here ….although, there is a song in the musical “Guys and Dolls, which is one of my favourites, that mentions “ bushel and peck “.
