I am going to eat UBE pancakes

I will have them for supper tonight if friend is not here. He likely wouldn't like them. He doesn't like anything that is out of the ordinary really. UBE is that yam that they use a lot in Phillipine cooking. I am thinking these pancakes will be healthier than the norm, and also maybe hopefully will be purple which would be entertaining. What is the last thing you ate which was out of the ordinary?

Yes, UBE is very popular in the Philippine, it's naturally purple, it has a sweet nutty taste.

@snowy22315 I only had UBE ice cream, it was a mild taste, a hint of coconut.

I fixed parsnips the other night. I love them but they are not a popular vegetable.

@MarieCoyle They aren't that common. I am not sure the local place here even sells them, but they probably do..They do sell most things.

@snowy22315 Many people no longer know what a parsnip even is now. I grew up eating them.

I had Ube Milk Tea a few months ago. It had a very mild flavor, but it was good.

I do not mind the ube flavour, in certain things of course as it is a sweet flavour.

@snowy22315 Yes, the colour is really amazing. A friend of ours makes cake icing with it.

we read it Ubi here and if translate to English become sweet potatoes, My knowledge increased after researching, it turns out that UBE, aka purple sweet potato, comes from the Philippines.

We had some lovely prawn appetisers the other day. They were covered with very thin noodle-type thingies.
