Storm and Collapse

The last couple of days have been fun. Tuesday was the inspection and that went okay. The guy who is boss now is a real piece of strange work. He's okay, just weird.
Then yesterday we had a huge thunderstorm. It sounded like it was right over the apartment. A LOUD clap of thunder out of the blue. Wow! It was cool.
I had been napping when all of a sudden, my grandson comes in and tell me my daughter fell. He explained that she had just collapsed and was shaken. I determined it to be a panic attack. Too much on her plate. She is manic and stays up way too long then she falls asleep at some weird time. She's been this way off and since she was a teen. Being bi-polar is no fun.
So my grandson had her come upstairs and lay down in his room. He talked to her until she relaxed. Then she slept for about 4 or 5 hours. It gets weird and rather scary when she comes down off the manic high. Meds aren't doing her any good. They say it gets worse as you get older. That's always good to hear. NOT!!

I’m sure sorry to hear of her struggles. I have a bipolar friend who struggles with the meds. One will work for awhile and then it doesn’t. The fact that she collapsed is concerning. Did she call the doctor, or? I wish there were better meds for bipolar.

Her father was bi-polar. Her son brought her to bed and talked to until she relaxed and went to sleep. She had a appointment the next day with her meds Dr. She has started her on a different med. We will see how she does on this one.

I hope the new med will help her. Your grandson sounds like a gem of a young man.

My best friend is bi-polar and she has improved over the years, mellowed out. She is 75. I am sorry about your daughter and it may be that middle ages are tough for manic people.

That would sure be nice. It seems to be an ongoing process. She has been searching since she was about 14 or 15 for the right one. Some will help for a while and then they don't any longer. Side effects are fun too with some of them.

Yes, it sure is. It gets harder as the age too.
