A sheep that was inside of a slaughterhouse that managed to crash through a window on Halstead Street on Monday August 11 managed to interrupt traffic while employees of the slaughterhouse were chasing the sheep. Employees of the Chicago Animal Care and Control were able to catch the sheep, load the animal into a van and take the sheep to the Chicago Chicken Care where the sheep will be taken to a farm where the sheep can live out the rest of his or her life in the company of other sheep according to Christina Zelano who is the co-founder of the rescue house where the sheep was taken. Wow talk about running for his life. I've been to a few live animal slaughter places as a kid and always felt bad seeing people taking so many different animals for food like the bunnies and baby chicks. My mom and grandmas always told us if you feel bad for an animal and show it before they go to slaughter that will make them hard to kill.

My hearts breaks when small animals are about to be rubbed out.

If an animal escapes slaughter, I’d say it more than deserves living out its life in peace.

I am in agreement with you that the sheep deserve to live.

That means the sheep should be allowed to live, I mean they really tried to get away,

That is what I was thinking that the sheep wanted to live.

I wonder if the slaughterhouse were compensated for the loss of the sheep, but it seems the sheep earned its freedom, so good luck to it, and it has been given another ticket to life..

I believe that the sheep wanted to live more than get killed.

OH yay! The sheep managed to avoid the slaughterhouse. I'm so glad he's going to a farm.
