I was mowing and a little black snake came slithering through the grass. I stomped my foot at him trying to get him to turn around and head to the safety of the bushes. a place I could not go with a mower. But "no"! He insisted on heading into the tallish grass. Let me say to you that I am not afraid of snakes, even bigger ones. This one was as big around as a nice ink pen and not more than 10 inches long. Snakes, when they are bigger, eat the mice or rats that might be in our yard. I would be afraid of a copperhead or rattler but this was just a small, shiny black snake. I did not want to turn him into minced meat, and I am pretty sure he got away. Right after that my mower battery ran down, so I was out of business anyway. Now I am inside, working on trying to clear my desk. I am looking for one tiny piece of paper that has a password written on it. Wish me luck. Better than a needle in a haystack, or a snake in the grass.
