Trump is attending a state visit in the United Kingdom today

He and Melania (and an entourage) landed in London last night. They are about to land in Windsor any moment where they will have a carriage procession to the castle, a gun salute, a viewing of US-related art, a meeting and lunch with King Charles and Queen Camilla, a military flyover, etc. before tonight's official state dinner. This is unusual because it is the SECOND state visit for him. From what I've read there haven't been second such events for world leaders. He was already there during his first term and met with Queen Elizabeth II. Who can forget the pictures of him storming ahead of the elderly queen because he has no class? The Brits in true fashion are protesting the Trump visit. There was a ginormous picture/blanket/whatever of Trump and Epstein spread out at Windsor on the grounds. (quickly confiscated) There were images projected onto the actual castle last night of Trump and Epstein. (4 people in a hotel across the way were arrested) My favorite one so far though was a huge gathering in London. Presumably it was outside or near where the Trumps were staying. They were singing an altered version of "Hey Baby" which, well, was crude but I think it is hilarious. I'll be watching the coverage of the visit today because I'm off, I like the Royals, and I'm a news junkie. The link below is the video of the singing in London. (NSFW)

Well, at least the Brits are expressing free speech without being killed for it. I wonder if Trump is conducting a second state business trip because the first time it was with the queen and this time it’s with the king?

well the royals don't get involved with business or politics. He *is* meeting with PM Starmer tomorrow though. They will talk politics.

Most foreigners do not like him. I'm still gobsmacked about the Republicans view of him.

Oh, that's hilarious. Love those Brits and their humor (sorry, humour)! And, of course, in England, you can even badmouth the king and not get imprisoned or sued for it....

I doubt the British appreciate his visit, I wounder why those 4 guys were arrested, what did they do wrong? They damaged nothing after all.

It must be awful to be the king and have to be diplomatic and pleasant to everyone no matter what.

When Brits do not like someone or something, they generally do not hide that fact! I watched it some and wondered to myself just how much security costs were involved for this visit. Has to be astronomical.

It's a bit of a shame they (the authorities) are going to show much trouble. He'll think he's even more important now - if that's possible.
