I love pumpkin soup. I don't think I have made it before, but there is always a first time. I found a recipe on Delish that looks alot like one I had in a restaurant one time, and it was pretty amazing. The weather may not be suitable to make soup until closer to the weekend, as we have a few hotter days mid week, but we will see.

I had planned a creamy pumpkin soup for dinner tonight, but my husband is asking for appetizers.

Do the appetizers tonight, and tell him tomorrow its pumpkin soup. Then of course he will ask you 5x what you are having tomorrow.

@snowy22315 Well, I know, he already asked several times which month we are and which year. Today he is confused.

I like raw pumpkin but won't eat it cooked. I hope you enjoy it.

Are you talking about pumpkin puree in a can?

@snowy22315 Eww, no... That's already cooked. I'm talking about cutting up a pumpkin and eating a chunk of it raw. Mom never minded when I'd take a few chunks of raw pumpkin out of the bowl as she was cutting one up and eat them. I also ate chunks of raw turnips and raw squash. I didn't like those cooked, either, and still don't.

@DaddyEvil Raw pumpkin is tasteless, and slimy. I would never eat it.

Oh that sounds delicious. I had a bit of a scratchy throat this morning so I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch-it fixed me right up.

I’ve never had pumpkin soup. I bet it would be good. I love butternut squash soup.

It is really good. The recipe I found has butternut squash puree and canned pumpkin in it.

Most homemade soups aren't really that high in sakt. Slot of the commercial ones have lower salt versions that aren't too bad. U hope you can find one you like.

@LindaOHio A regular grocery store should have plenty of low salt options. You could sign up for instacart.

@snowy22315 I have been looking on Walmart's website. Low salt options are pretty limited.

I make pumpkin soup occasionally but my recipe is super simple. All my recipes are super simple. Anything tricky I pass on to Vince! lol
