Reading goal update

My reading goal for this year was 77 books, though I was hoping to get to 80. So far I have read only 36 books. I am 47% there. I very much doubt that I will reach my goal this year but that’s ok. Reading as many books as I did—with still more books to read—is a nice accomplishment in itself.

I agree. I’ve never seen hubby read a single book since I met him.

@lovebuglena My hubby bought books but just read his magazines. I used to read to him sometimes. I enjoyed that.

True... As long as you're enjoying what you read, then any amount of books read is a good accomplishment. 
I don't set goals. I just read and enjoy the books I've downloaded. (My Kindle app says I've read every day for 477 weeks straight. There were a few books I started and didn't like so I quit reading them. Most books I enjoyed, though.)

For me setting goals gets me to read more and it’s a fun challenge.

I don’t know ahead of time what I will read unless it’s a book I bought or if I took out many from the library. But when I go to the library I don’t know what books I will borrow. I browse and see what I like.
