Jonathan Medina who is the owner of a macaw named Baby is happy that his macaw who flew away while Jonathan was with his relatives on a camping trip outside of Chicago. Baby managed to leave with his leashed attached when he flew away to enjoy the outdoors. A group named Chicago Bird Collision Monitors received a report on Tuesday from persons on social media saw Baby eating an apple on top of an auto in Willow Springs. Baby was then returned to his owners when an employee f the animal rescue was able to catch the macaw and return Baby to his owners safely this week. Link is upi.com/455175872191 via @upi

I’m glad it was reunited with the owner. After all, they didn’t keep him in a cage; they took him places!

Oh! Do all birds don't know how to fly back to their owners? I am glad someone found it. When I was little, many of our neighbors had lots of doves and other bird pets. They put it in a cage on top of their roof, and in the afternoon, they set them free, let them fly for an hour, and called them all again by clapping their hands. And the birds all flew back in the cage. Those were the days when family computers were the only gadgets sitting inside the house.

That is a good question if all birds know how to return to their owners since my macaw when he would fly away would return home after a while flying away.

I'm glad Baby was caught. He may not have lasted too long in the wild.

I doubt that Baby would have survived in the wild either.

They did well to be able to catch the macaw, as it would have been hard to catch, I imagine.

I speak from experience since my relatives used to macaws as pets. They are hard to catch.
